     The Target Groups CENCORED has so far worked for have been, age-wise, many and varied ranging from 0 to old age. But preferences wise, for given reasons, they are:

  • 13-17 years of adolescent girls and boys to play the bridging roles between the present and the future generations specifically in the area of Health & Hygiene.

  • Women in general and of the deprived section in particular to better the socio economic conditions of their family as a whole and to promote health and hygiene related habits of the family members as individuals.

  • Deprived section to promote education, health, social justice and economic upliftment.

  • Elected representatives of the Panchayat Raj Institutions to promote and strengthen local-self-governance.

  • Field workers of the community based and civil society organizations to develop their capacity in communication and programme implementation and to help them generate participation and create ownership in people for developmental initiatives.

Target Activities  
   
  • Developing through orientation and training, dedicated and well-rounded Human Resources (including project staff and active volunteers) for investing their time and energy in the social sector with missionary zeal.

  • Creating appropriate resource materials and making the same available for information dissemination and for references.

  • To conceptualize and experiment to develop methods of communication to make developmental initiatives more understandable to the people.

  • To build CENCORED as the State-level Resource-Centre for Strengthening of Panchayat Raj Institution in Bihar by producing needed resource materials, setting-up Information Dissemination and Support Centres by way of examples and by working out need-based modules for training for capacity development of the functionaries of PRIs and, conducting programmes based on that, to further improve the same.
  • To undertake research and study to assess impacts and to identify needs for further program formulation and implementation.

  • To make use of electronic media to increase the reach and enhance the accessibility of communication for capacity as well as socio-economic development.
